Italy is one of the favorite countries when choosing the destination to take part in an Erasmus+ project, because of the weather, the Italian habits, the food. Every year, thousands of students choose the transalpine country as a destination.

Italy offers infinite possibilities at a tourist, cultural and professional level. The country enjoys a Mediterranean weather that allows you to spend most of the day outdoors. AtheneaJob organizes training and work programs for young people and students throughout the peninsula, in particular in Salerno and Naples.

With a privileged location on the Amalfi Coast and as the capital of one of the largest provinces in Italy, Salerno is a city provided with many services and one of the most developed shopping centers in southern Italy.

The city is rich in monuments and works of art that testify thousand years of history. The most important festival in Salerno is San Matteo's Day that has an ancient origin: it takes place on 21st September and is characterized by a parade, as well as by the presence of band concerts and fireworks.

There are also parks and gardens, among them the famous seafront named after Garibaldi with its beautiful palaces, shops, the local park of the city and the natural beauty of the landscape.

Salerno offers a variety of entertainment, concentrated in the historic center, the heart of the nightlife. Thanks to the presence of a rich variety of gastronomic proposals and a great cultural offer with art exhibitions, musical and theatrical performances, nights in Salerno are for all tastes.

After discovering Naples, you will not see anything else with the same eyes.

Its position is unique: overlooking the homonymous and famous Gulf, a few steps from the extraordinary islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida and dominated by Vesuvius, Naples is a feast for the eyes. It is the third largest city in Italy by population, it is one of the most populated metropolitan areas in the EU with more than 3.5 million people and is the center of many international companies. The historic center, with its popular neighborhoods, is included in the world heritage protected by UNESCO.

The city of Naples is rich in art, architecture, history. Its narrow streets, its gastronomy, its beautiful landscapes, the cultural ferment that characterizes it, make it ideal for young people who want to live a unique training experience.
